The gardening in this game feels like it has been tacked on as an afterthought. The lawnmower doesn't feel like a lawnmower in this game like it did in HF1 - you can use it going sideways! It feels like it's just a painting tool, painting the cut-grass texture over the long-grass texture. It feels really underwhelming and disappointing to use.

Same with getting rid of trees and planting them. In HF1 it was an undertaking to rearrange the trees in the garden. Now it's just point-and-click and it's gone or a new tree is there.

The gardening in this game needs to be more like House Flipper 1. I know that was a DLC that needed paying for. More than happy to pay for a new Gardening DLC for HF2. I'm honestly surprised a Scooby Doo DLC took priority over this to be honest.
